Marunouchi Naka-dori Renewal Project,
Marunouchi Naka-dori Renewal Project
Nakadori, which runs north to south through Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho, is the foundation of urban activity connecting various facilities in the urban regeneration project currently underway in the area, and is positioned as the "skeletal axis of the town." In this project, Nakadori is seen as the "axis of amenity and activity," and aims to create a human-scale relaxation space while "ensuring safety, improving convenience, and deepening comfort."
In designing the streets, the roads and sidewalks are paved with natural stone, creating a sense of unity between the streets and the building facade on both sides, and creating a sense of dignity for the town. In addition, a comfortable and enjoyable space has been created by increasing the number of street trees and shrubs, updating lighting and bollards, and providing rest spaces surrounded by art and greenery.
The result is an "urban living room" that is not only sophisticated and functional, but also aesthetically pleasing.
