architectural design and construction supervision of ground construction work for Chuo University Junior and Senior High School
Chuo University Yokohama Yamate Junior and Senior High School relocation and construction plan.
In order to secure the necessary ground area, the grounds and auxiliary buildings were developed on land in an urbanization control zone (Otana campus), about a 15-minute walk from the planned school site (Ushikubo campus). As the school is located in an urbanization control zone, development permission was required, and development work such as widening the adjacent road and installing an underground balancing pond is being carried out.
The grounds will have a greening rate of 30%, which is the development standard, and the layout will be able to accommodate a variety of sports, such as physical education classes and club activities. The all-weather paving (long pile artificial turf and urethane paving) will be used, and the plan will take into consideration the surrounding residential environment, such as dust prevention.
The annex buildings include changing rooms, toilets, storerooms, etc. necessary for using the grounds, as well as club rooms and classrooms for use in case of rain.
