Renovation
07 Environmental Consideration (ZEB)
Environmentally friendly and reduces management costs
ZEB proposal and application process
With the government's goal of achieving ZEB standards for the average stock by 2050 and the increasing asset value of environmentally friendly buildings, an increasing number of companies are aiming to obtain ZEB certification for existing buildings. Based on the extensive know-how we have cultivated through our track record of energy conservation through many Renovation, we will realize ZEB and handle the various applications that accompany it.
ZEB is an abbreviation for Net Zero Energy Building, and refers to a building that aims to reduce the energy consumption of the building to zero through 1) energy conservation and 2) the use of energy creation, while providing a comfortable indoor environment.
ZEB roadmap proposal
STEP 1: Understanding the current situation and extracting ZEB candidates
We grasp the current situation based on existing building data and existing drawings, identify the possibility of ZEB conversion, and select candidate properties if the company owns multiple buildings.
STEP 2: Consider ZEB renovation methods
Using our unique simplified energy-saving calculations, we will consider ZEB renovation methods from a design perspective.
STEP 3 Energy saving calculation and application
We will carry out a performance evaluation using energy-saving calculations, and based on the determined ZEB renovation method, we will create drawings and apply for ZEB certification in accordance with the Building Energy Efficiency Labeling Scheme (BELS).
Renovation design for an existing medium-sized building
Obtained ZEB Ready certification
The Higashi-Gotanda 1-Chome Building, owned by Japan Real Estate Investment Corporation, obtained ZEB Ready certification at the design stage (March 2021).
