Yokohama Landmark Tower is a super-high-rise complex building that is 296m tall, the tallest building within the aviation law limits, and was the tallest in Japan for about 20 years since its completion in 1993. It was designed using the best of technology, taking into account the effects of sea breezes and the possibility of disasters in a country prone to earthquakes. With a total floor area of 392,885m2, it is home to a variety of facilities, including offices, hotels, and a shopping mall, as well as an observation deck, a multipurpose hall, and even a plaza that has been restored and reused as a stone dock, forming an attractive town. It is also connected to the adjacent complex, Queen's Square Yokohama, and the commercial mall on the lower floors is also connected to a subway station, making it a convenient space that is not only used for business purposes but is constantly visited by local people and tourists.
