Daitetsu Kogyo Head Office Building
This is the new headquarters of a general contractor affiliated with a railway group, located in Nishinakajima, a mixed-use area south of Shin-Osaka Station. The building is designed to be environmentally friendly to the local area, including the diverse streetscape and people passing by, while at the same time making that consideration felt by the company's own workers and raising their awareness.
The well-organized exterior, the provision of a rich space enriched by greenery near intersections, and the creation of a walkway landscape with green walls are all environmentally friendly measures that present the future of the streetscape to everyone in the city, including those commuting to work. These efforts are not only directed to the surrounding area, but also directed inward, as if reflecting the surrounding area, through the highly transparent facade design and the greenery on both sides of the walls. The interior space, where the environmental considerations that were supposed to have been directed outward, can be felt, creates a place that encourages the activation of workers.
It is hoped that the Daitetsu Kogyo headquarters building will serve as a catalyst for the renewal of Nishinakajima's streetscape in the future.
