Keio University Hiyoshi Residence Hall

Renovation plan for the Keio University Hiyoshi Dormitory (South Dormitory only), designed by Yoshiro Taniguchi and completed in 1939 (Showa 14).
Since this was a preservation of modernist architecture, the designer's intentions were interpreted from the existing building and remaining documents, and then translated into current specifications. In addition to preserving the exterior, the renovation included the installation of new bathrooms, air conditioning, and disaster prevention equipment to accommodate modern usability.
