Gkusyuin Girl's Junior & Senior High School, Main Building
As part of the 125th anniversary of the founding of Gakushuin Girls' Junior and Senior High School, this project involves the comprehensive reconstruction of three dilapidated school buildings.
The design is delicate and warm, blending in with the campus scenery surrounded by lush greenery, and by referencing the design motif of the school building from its days as the Peerage Girls' Academy, it also carries on the school's traditions and history.
The long school building stretches from east to west, and features three light courts that allow light and air into the common areas, allowing students to feel each other's activities through the light courts. A student hall and roof terrace are located in the central area, making it an attractive hub where students of a wide range of years can gather.
