Takanawa Forum
Located on a hilltop on the former site of the Iwasaki family, who built the Mitsubishi zaibatsu, this complex is made up of a dormitory (203 rooms) for single employees of Mitsubishi Estate Group and a training facility. Based on the concept of "creating a forest of interaction, environment, and memories," the facility aims to create a place of interaction where group employees can bond and grow together.
Here, as a model project that embodies the Group's basic environmental policy, we are implementing advanced environmentally friendly efforts. The training building uses wooden structures made from domestic timber, and uses more than 10 times the standard amount of domestic timber in Minato Ward's "Minato Model CO2 Fixation Certification System." It is the first in the ward to receive ★★★ (the highest rank), and is contributing to CO2 reduction.
Also, with consideration given to the history of the land, and in order to create a landscape that will not be affected by the changes of the times, the building quietly stands among the abundant existing trees, creating a warm and rich space with wooden pillars.

Landscape Design
In planning Landscape Design, the facility's concept of "creating a forest of exchange, environment and memories" was followed, and the existing trees that make up Takanawa Forest were preserved, making the facility surrounded by forest while creating a new green space filled with the feeling of the four seasons. In the courtyard, which is the core of the training facility, a symbolic space was created with a weeping cherry tree as the main focus, taking into consideration the changes in view from all around and the appearance of the facility during the day and at night.
