Fukuda Denshi Co., Ltd. Hongo Office

The company's office, located in a residential area in Hongo, Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, was rebuilt at its current location. The facade and spatial composition are in keeping with the environment and scale of the residential area, with volume segmentation using shadows created by the L-shaped PCa panels with eaves on the exterior, and an approach that gives a sense of scale on a residential level, consisting of a low eaves space, greenery, and a lattice wall. The building also takes employee health into consideration, with the adoption of ceiling radiant air conditioning and floor seepage air conditioning, natural ventilation through an atrium, and a staircase planned to encourage active use by workers.
