Support for obtaining ZEB Ready certification for new construction and high-rise office buildings
- Introducing technologies that contributed to obtaining certification for the Uchikanda 1-chome Project (Tentative name) -
We are pleased to announce that the Uchikanda 1-chome Project (Tentative name), for which we are responsible for the design and Construction Supervision, has received "ZEB Ready" certification in the partial evaluation for office use.
The plan aims to reduce the energy load of the entire building through passive Architectural Design, including strengthening the building's exterior performance and adopting a lighting plan that makes use of the north side. As air conditioning and lighting account for the majority of the office building's overall energy consumption, active technologies include the use of a highly efficient heat source for district heating and cooling system that will extend from the Otemachi area toward the Kanda side, and the adoption of advanced technologies to improve energy efficiency in the selection of various facilities and equipment.
Through these efforts, we have achieved ZEB Ready and created a highly environmentally friendly building, despite being a high-rise tenant office building with 26 aboveground floors and a total floor space of approximately 85,000 m2.
