Year Book 2023Project View▪「夏は冷たく、冬は暖かい」下水熱を冷暖房の熱源に活⽤▪Torch Tower地下部分に雨水貯留施設を整備し、接続予定。降雨初期の特に汚れた下水を貯留することで河川の水質改善にも貢献Sustainability▪環境負荷が大きいコーナー部に向かって庇の出を大きくし、熱負荷を軽減しつつ、表情豊かなファサードに014Project ViewTOKYO TORCH ZENIGAMECHO BUILDINGProject Data「TOKYO TORCH」第2弾となる下水道局棟。1931年からこの地で稼働していた銭瓶町ポンプ所の機能を維持しながら建設・更新しました。JR線からの視認性が高い高層部は、東京の玄関口としてコーナー部をラウンドさせた印象的なフォルムに。低層部は明治・大正期の下水道施設に用いられたレンガ積みの表現とし、下水道施設としてのアイデンティティを表現しました。また、下水道事業をPRするショーケースを設け、情報発信の役割も担っています。The Bureau of Sewerage building, the second project of the TOKYO TORCH. We constructed and renewed the building while keeping the functions of the Zenigamecho Pump Station, which has been in operation at the location since 1931. The building’s upper façade, which is visible from the JR lines, is given a unique form with rounded corners, serving as an entrance to Tokyo. The lower façade is clad in brickwork, used for sewerage systems in the Meiji and Taisho periods, to highlight the building’s character as a sewerage facility.
