Project ViewYear Book 2020JR博多駅筑紫口に面するホテルを主体とした複合施設。筑紫口の新たなランドマークとするべく、九州の雄大な自然と建築の融合をデザインテーマとしました。計画にあたっては行政とも協議を重ね、福岡市初となる２つの容積割増制度を活用し、地域への貢献が建物デザイン上の特徴となるように計画することで、実用的かつ印象的な平面計画と外観を実現。都心にいながら緑や水と触れ合うことができる「記憶に残るホテル」をデザインしました。This project was for a mixed-use complex consisting mainly of a hotel, facing the Chikushi Exit of JR Hakata Station. The design theme was based on a fusion of architecture with the majestic nature of Kyushu that would create a new landmark for the area around this particular exit. During the design process, repeated discussions with the local government were held. Designing the building by making use of two “premium” oor area ratio systems — a first for Fukuoka — so that this contribution to the local community would become a distinguishing feature of the architectural design, we were able to realize a oor plan and facade that was both practical and distinctive. The result was a design for a hotel that “lingers in the memory,” where one can come into contact with greenery and water even in the heart of the city.
