同社三条工場内の本社屋建替計画です。京都を代表する歴史と伝統ある企業イメージを表現するため、彫りの深い品格ある外観とし、内部は先進性を感じさせるインテリアとしました。3階中央に設けた吹き抜けの中庭を介して採光・通風が確保され、その周囲にはコミュニケーションを誘発させる空間を多数配置しています。This is a headquarters building for Shimadzu Corporation on the premises of the Sanjo Works, its main factory. To express the history and tradition of Shimadzu, one of the leading companies in Kyoto, the design features a stately, deep-cut exterior with an interior that suggests progress and innovation.
